[and who is Peekaboo? She's an Egyptian Fruitbat, rescued with her mother when she was a month old and has been living in the BWS ever since.]
Why, you may ask. Here's the information from the Bat Sanctuary:
"Why are we doing this, you ask?! Because we have an excellent chance to win $25,000 through the Groupon Earth Day Challenge as a "green" charity. $25,000 will help us save hundreds of lives, so we are pulling out all the stops to win. And we are even open to suggestions of more legal craziness if that will help garner your support!"
Currently, they're on second place. If you love bats, like I do, maybe you'd consider giving a small donation. Deadline is May 15th.
